Next to the Chongqing Railway Station and the Chongqing Bus Station, the site is isolated by a number of roads, making the entire site unconnected in the city as an isolated island. The west side of the site is a small commodity wholesale market with lower commercial level, so that it fails to effectively serve the surrounding commercial offices and residents. Existing urban public spaces are isolated by large-volume urban traffic, leaving local residents with no place for daily entertainment. It is the existing condition that the site is surrounded by multiple layers of major urban road and elevated viaducts that enables me to incorporate autonomous driving technology with conventional malls of today to provide a new shopping experience which dissolves the behavior of consumption into public services and entertainment, reaching out to more neighborhoods while reconnecting the urban public space back to the residents.
